Arts Award

St Pol de Leon Church, know locally as Paul church, is an Arts Award Supporter.

Through Arts Award young people can explore the heritage in and around Paul Church.

We have a range of different activities aimed at young people aged 11+ doing their Bronze and Silver Arts Award.

Opportunities for young people can include among others: performance, bell ringing, choirs, photography, music, research or in support of school or college work. This opportunity will help develop young peoples understanding of their local heritage and sense of place.

Discover stories about pirates and the Spanish raids, RNLI bravery on the high seas or World War One sacrifice. The church's Quiet Garden offers spectacular views across Mounts Bay, and has information about Cornish Saints and inspirational sculptures. Use a visit as a springboard for your own creative project.

Our Offer

  • Arrange to hold a mini-exhibition or performance at the church.
  • Volunteer with us and share your heritage skills with our visitors.
